Buyer's guides / Measure and fit

Measure your fence once. Order right every time.

Four measurements, one spacing rule, and a sheet your crew can take to the field. Then price the run and configure it.

  1. Step 1 HEIGHT Fence height

Ground to the top rail, measured at a post. Order that height. Screens are finished 4 in shorter, so a 6 ft fence gets a 5 ft 8 in screen that sits inside the rails.

  2. Step 2 RUN LENGTH Run length

Each straight run, post to post: corner to corner or gate to gate. Fields are rarely built to the drawing, so measure the fence, not the diagram. Every run is its own section on the order.

  3. Step 3 24 IN Attachment

Brass grommets come every 24 in along every edge as standard, closer on request for exposed runs. Plan one UV-rated tie per grommet: one bag of 100 covers about 50 ft. Hog rings with the pliers hold just as well.

  4. Step 4 GATE SEAM AT POST Seams and gates

Land seams at posts so both panel ends tie to the same post. Cut and bind around gates instead of screening over them; screened gates sag and tear at the latch. Mixed heights around one field go on one order, one section per height.

Fit calculator

Height, run and sport. The calculator picks the venue's recommended screen, splits the run into sections, adds the ties and prices it. Configure hands off with the fields filled.

Screen heights are finished sizes: 4 in under the fence so the panel sits inside the top and bottom rails.

    Install-day checklist

    • Fence repaired first: bent top rail and loose fabric are what tear screens, not wind.
    • Two people per 50 ft panel; a ladder for anything over 6 ft.
    • One bag of UV-rated ties per 50 ft, or hog rings and the pliers.
    • Panels matched to their runs and heights before anyone climbs.
    • Hang the top edge first and pull it taut, then the bottom, then the corners. Tie every grommet, triple the corners and the ends of long runs.
    • Leave gates clear and land seams at posts.
    • Walk the run after the first windy day and re-tension anything that moved.
