Driving range windscreen and privacy screen

Windscreen and privacy screen for practice tees, range fences and the fence between the course and the neighbors. Wind relief and sightlines, sized to each fence run.

Windscreen along a driving range fence

What matters at this venue

A range fence does more than mark the boundary. It has to break the wind across the practice tee, hide the maintenance yard and the road, and give the neighbors a screen between their windows and the range. Those jobs ask for different blockage levels, and most ranges use more than one.

An 80% mesh screen handles the wind and the sightlines on the tee line and the road side, and it stays up in a gust because the fence can breathe. Ranges step up to 90% on the one fence line that faces homes, and close off the maintenance yard with 95%. Windscreen is for wind, privacy and sightlines; it is not made to stop golf balls.

Screen where it does a job

Windscreen goes on the fences that need wind relief or privacy: the tee line, the road side and the run facing homes, not the whole perimeter.

The tee line is exposed

A screened windward fence gives the practice tee a calmer lane and keeps the mats and turf from drying out in the wind.

Neighbors and the road

Screened fence lines facing homes and the street soften the view of the range and the maintenance yard.

Questions about golf & driving ranges screening

No. Windscreen is made for wind, privacy and sightlines, not ball containment. Use it on the fences around the range, and keep dedicated range netting wherever balls need to be stopped.

80% breaks the wind across the tee and still lets the fence breathe. Step up to 90% only on the fence line where privacy matters more than airflow.

A 90% mesh on that run hides the range from their windows and still lets some air through. Save 95% for shorter or sheltered runs, like the maintenance yard.

Order the fence height and the screen is finished to sit inside the rails. Tall range fences carry real wind load, so keep the screen open and tie every grommet.
